Erik ten Hag confirms double injury boost for Man Utd

Man Utd duo fit to face Man City

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed a double injury boost ahead of the Manchester derby.

The Red Devils were in sublime form before the international break, winning five of their six matches across all competitions.

This included four league wins on the trot, and Ten Hag will be aiming to extend the run against Manchester City on Sunday.

Ahead of the 188th derby between the clubs, the Dutch tactician has confirmed that both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are fit.

The duo returned to training earlier in the week, and they are on course to make the matchday squad against Pep Guardiola's side.

Rashford was an assured starter up front before the muscle injury. He will be aiming to add to his tally of three goals and two assists.

Meanwhile, Harry Maguire has not been deemed fit for the encounter after sustaining a muscle injury playing for England against Germany.

The club captain is expected to miss out on the matchday squad, and the early signs are that he could be sidelined for a number of matches.
