Chelsea want to sign Gabriel Martinelli?

Chelsea are reportedly plotting a possible approach to sign Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli next summer.

The Gunners have made a terrific start to the current Premier League campaign, and Martinelli has played his part with three goals and one assist.

The Brazilian is regarded as an undisputed starter on the left wing, but there remain doubts over his future as his contract expires in less than two years.

The Gunners are yet to make any progress over a renewal, and Mail claim that Chelsea could look to take advantage of the uncertain situation.

The Blues have been pro-active under new owner Todd Boehly and the focus appears on pursuing young players with a long-term plan in mind.

Martinelli is widely regarded as one of the best Premier League wingers, and the Blues could move for him if he does not prolong his Gunners stay.

Aside from Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and William Saliba have also entered the final two years of their deals and the Gunners need to act fast.
