Barcelona determined to sign Manchester United star?

Barcelona are reportedly determined to sign Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot next year.

The Portugal international has been in good form for the Red Devils this term, and is currently the undisputed right-back.

United have no plans of losing him, but his current contract status could pave the way for his departure next year.

His present deal is due to expire in the summer of 2023, but United have the option to extend his stay by 12 months.

The club will obviously trigger the clause, but there remain doubts whether he will sign another deal beyond that.

Barcelona have already made contact with Dalot's entourage as they look to convince him to move to Camp Nou.

The Catalans believe they can sign him on a cut-price deal next summer if he decides against a renewal at United.

Meanwhile, a separate report from Sport claims that Dalot could be available for around £22m next summer.

Dalot has played almost every minute in this season's league campaign.
