Wenger wants Gilberto stay
Arsene Wenger has admitted he would like to keep hold of veteran Brazilian midfielder Gilberto after Arsenal looked set to miss out on keeping Mathieu Flamini.
"I would like Gilberto to stay,â said Wenger following the 1-0 win over Everton on Sunday. âBut I have to sit down with him to see what he wants to do.
âGilberto is like Jens Lehmann, you can rely on them, they are fantastic professionals. Gilberto is a fantastic guy.
âWe won trophies with Gilberto and Jens because they are special human beings, you know? You do not win with average people."
