NGolo Kante makes Chelsea contract decision
French midfielder N'Golo Kante has not ruled out the prospect of signing a new long-term deal with Chelsea.
The 31-year-old has been a key player for the Blues over the past six years, but the club have yet to negotiate a new contract.
His current deal expires in the summer of 2023 and he would be free to leave on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
In recent weeks, there has been little progress over a possible extension, but Kante is willing to hold a fresh round of talks.
According to Le10Sport, the midfielder wants to continue in London next season, but has no plans of joining another rival.
Instead, he is prepared to stay put with the Blues. The midfielder is hopeful that the club will eventually meet his requirements.
Kante wants a four-year deal with the west London giants. So far, the hierarchy have offered just two years with a 12-month option.
