Chelsea make January decision on Denis Zakaria
Chelsea are prepared to terminate the contract of on-loan midfielder Denis Zakaria during the January transfer window.
The Swiss was a deadline day signing from Juventus this summer as the Blues were desperate to bolster their midfield options.
However, he has since not played a single minute for them. Thomas Tuchel recommended to sign him, but was sacked last month.
Under new boss Graham Potter, Zakaria has only been an unused substitute in the three European games where he has been picked.
It is now reported by football.london that Chelsea want to terminate his loan deal in January as they plan for a new midfield signing.
However, there are no assurances of that happening. Juventus are under no obligation to cut short the midfielder's temporary stint.
The Serie A outfit are within their own rights to decline the request and let him stay at Chelsea for the remainder of the season.
They may need to be compensated for an early termination.
