Arsenal to move for Iranian striker in January?
Arsenal could attempt to sign Porto striker Mehdi Taremi during the January transfer window, as per football.london.
The Iranian striker had a stellar 2021/22 campaign with Porto, bagging 26 goals and 17 assists from 48 appearances.
He has carried over the form this season with seven goals and seven assists from just 12 games for the Lisbon giants.
His form has apparently caught the eye of the Gunners and it is claimed that they could attempt to land him in January.
Gabriel Jesus has been an automatic striker choice for Arsenal in the Premier League this term with Eddie Nketiah being the deputy.
However, they may need more depth going forward and Taremi would offer something different with his aerial presence.
Aside from this, he is strong with his hold-up play and also has the knack of creating chances for teammates with key passes.
He would be a quality acquisition for the Gunners despite being 30 years of age. He could be available for around €20 million.
