Man Utd enter race to sign Chelsea attacking target

Manchester United have reportedly entered the pursuit of Chelsea target Rafael Leao ahead of January.

The Portuguese was touted to join Chelsea during the summer transfer window, but a deal did not materialise.

The Blues were willing to pay £65 million for his services, but AC Milan were clear that they wanted £100m for him.

The west London giants plan to make a fresh bid this winter, but The Star claim that United have joined the race.

Leao has been in top form for the Rossoneri this campaign, bagging four goals and seven assists from 12 appearances.

United are said to have monitored him on numerous occasions and they are now being fancied to step up their interest.

Milan wanted £100m for his signature this summer and it is claimed that they may want something near to that figure.

Leao has yet to renew his contract expiring in June 2024. As things stand, he seems more likely to head for the exit door soon.
