Shakhtar increase price tag for Arsenal transfer target
Shakhtar Donetsk have reportedly increased their valuation of Mykhaylo Mudryk ahead of the January transfer window.
The Ukraine international was linked with Arsenal and Everton earlier this summer. Shakhtar wanted around €50m for him.
Neither club was willing to pay the fee and it now appears Shakhtar could raise their valuation further ahead of the New Year.
Speaking to Caught Offside, Fabrizio Romano said that the club could hold out for as much as €65m for Mudryk this winter.
He said: "Today, I'm sure they want way more than €50 million for their star, it could probably be as high as €60-65 million."
Arsenal had second thoughts of paying the fee during the summer, and it seems unlikely that they will return for him.
The 21-year-old has impressed this season with three goals and seven assists, but the Gunners need more experience.
If they are competing for the Premier League title by January, they require signings that can make an immediate impact.
