Juventus ready to swap midfielder for Arsenal star?
Juventus are prepared to swap Weston McKennie for Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga in January, according to Calciomercato.
The Bianconeri have held a long-term interest in Lokonga and they were first interested in him during his Anderlecht days.
The Serie A outfit have now revived their pursuit but they prefer to sign him in a swap deal rather than paying a transfer fee.
As per Calciomercato, the Bianconeri will make a swap proposal for Lokonga this winter that could see McKennie move the other way.
Lokonga had the opportunity to leave the Gunners on loan last summer but he decided to fight for his future at the north London club.
He has since struggled for regular playing time. When it comes to the Premier League, he has largely played as a substitute.
Despite this, we don't see the Gunners offloading him midway through the season and they may wait until the summer to decide.
With the club firmly in the title race, the club could instead look to sign another defensive midfielder. Palmeiras' Danilo is on their radar.
