Chelsea ready to make fresh move for Serie A star

Chelsea are ready to make a fresh approach for AC Milan attacker Rafael Leao at the turn of the year, Calciomercato report.

The west London giants were eager to land the 23-year-old before the transfer deadline, but a deal did not materialise.

The Rossoneri rejected to sanction his exit, but the situation could change when the transfer window reopens this winter.

According to Calciomercato, Leao has no plans of penning an extension at the moment with differences in personal terms.

This could pave the way for his departure in January, considering he will enter the final 18 months of his contract by then.

Chelsea are said to be favourites to sign the Portuguese and it is claimed that a fee of around €120m could be sufficient.

The Blues were willing to pay a similar sum last summer, but the Rossoneri did not want to sell him at that point of time.

Leao has amassed four goals and eight assists so far this campaign.
