Man Utd suffer big injury blow after Chelsea draw

Varane suffers hamstring injury

Manchester United have suffered a huge blow with Raphael Varane picking up a hamstring injury against Chelsea.

The Frenchman suffered the setback in the 1-1 Premier League draw against the Blues yesterday and he is now sidelined for four weeks.

According to ESPN, the World Cup winner managed to avoid a high grade injury but won't play for the Red Devils until the New Year.

It will take at least a month for him to recover and there are now doubts over his participation with France at the World Cup finals in Qatar.

Varane has been an undisputed starter for Les Bleus at the heart of the defence and his absence will be a big blow to defending their crown.

Meanwhile, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire will need to step up for the Red Devils to fill the void left by Varane's untimely injury.

Lindelof looks in pole position to start in the coming matches. Maguire has just returned to individual training following a muscle issue.
