Chelsea to loan out Gabriel Slonina?
Chelsea are prepared to loan out new goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina during the January transfer window, according to Standard Sport.
The Blues signed Slonina from Chicago Fire over the summer, but he was allowed to rejoin them on loan until the end of their MLS season.
Slonina only recently joined the Blues in squad training, but it appears he could be loaned out this winter to regain valuable experience.
The west London giants prefer to loan him out to the Championship or in Europe, but could also allow him to rejoin Chicago Fire.
Any decision is expected to be put on hold until January as Slonina could yet link up with the United States for the World Cup in Qatar.
Slonina has been called up for a fitness training camp by USMNT and he could make the cut for the 26-man squad next month.
As things stand, Arsenal's Matt Turner is expected to start between the sticks for the United States in the World Cup finals this winter.
