Erik ten Hag rules out attacker from West Ham game
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Anthony Martial won't be available to face West Ham on Sunday.
The Red Devils are currently one point adrift of the top four in the Premier League and will be eyeing a victory this weekend.
Ahead of the game, Ten Hag said that Martial has returned to individual training, but is not ready to make his comeback.
When pressed further on his return date, the Dutchman was hopeful that Martial could be available before the World Cup.
He said: "I hope so. But he is making progress. He is outside and he is working there. So, he is on the pitch, and we are waiting for his step back into team training."
Martial has been in superb form this term with two goals and three assists from just four games. Injuries have hampered him.
Ten Hag is likely to handle him with caution going forward and we won't be surprised if Martial does not return until December.
