Brighton set Caicedo price tag

Brighton & Hove Albion want an eye-watering £85 million to part ways with midfielder Moises Caicedo, according to The Mirror.

The Ecuadorian only made his Premier League debut in April this year, but he has since developed into a quality holding midfielder.

Chelsea are said to be particularly interested in signing him, but the 20-year-old won't come for cheap in the coming transfer windows.

The Seagulls sanctioned Marc Cucurella's move to Stamford Bridge for £60m last summer. They are now eyeing £85m for Caicedo.

Aside from the Blues, Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United are also weighing up offers for the highly-rated midfielder.

Caicedo is currently an undisputed starter for the Seagulls and he has caught the eye with his excellent defensive attributes from midfield.

He has averaged an impressive three tackles and 1.3 interceptions per appearance this term while completing 87 per cent of his passes.

The youngster looks set to have a bright future ahead. His tireless work rate from midfield has seen him compared with Chelsea's N'Golo Kante.
