Arsenal handed Mykhaylo Mudryk transfer blow

Arsenal have been handed a blow in signing Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk during the January transfer window.
The Ukrainian was a top target for the Gunners over the summer, but they were put off by the €50m price tag set by Shakhtar for him.
The Gunners have been tipped to make a fresh approach in January, but they have now been handed a huge blow in the transfer pursuit.
Speaking to Calciomercato.it, Shakhtar's deputy sporting director Carlo Nicolini confirmed that City and Arsenal were interested in Mudryk.
However, he added that the player is indispensable to the club and he would cost more than Antony (€100m), who joined Man Utd this summer.
This will come as a huge blow for the Gunners, who are eyeing a versatile winger in January. They may have to look elsewhere this winter.
The Gunners could revive their interest in signing Yeremy Pino instead from Villarreal. He could be available for a lesser fee of around €40m.
