Chelsea defender to miss World Cup with hamstring injury

Chelsea have confirmed that Ben Chilwell is ruled out for the World Cup after suffering a significant hamstring injury against Dinamo Zagreb.
The England international picked up the injury during the closing stages of the game and he is now out for the long-term.
In a statement released today, the Blues confirmed that the left-back won't be involved in this winter's World Cup finals.
"Following the injury sustained in our recent game against Dinamo Zagreb, Ben has undergone a scan on his hamstring."
"Results show that Ben has suffered a significant injury and the defender is unfortunately expected to miss the World Cup."
The news will come as a big blow for the Blues, considering Chilwell has been their most consistent option from left wing-back.
Marc Cucurella has also played there since his arrival from Brighton & Hove Albion, but he has lacked the consistency.
His position has been poor over the past few games. He has a big challenge on his hands when he faces Arsenal tomorrow.
