Denis Zakaria to return to Juventus?

Chelsea midfielder Denis Zakaria could reportedly return to his parent club Juventus at the beginning of the year.

The Swiss joined the Blues on a season-long loan from Juventus over the summer with an option to buy for £26m.

However, he has since made just one appearance for the club which came against Dinamo Zagreb earlier this week.

Zakaria scored on his debut for the Blues, but Calciomercato claim that he could still return to the Bianconeri this winter.

The Blues are planning to make a marquee midfield signing in January and this could coincide with Zakaria's loan termination.

Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez was a top target for the Blues before the summer deadline, but a deal failed to materialise.

The west London giants are expected to try again for him when the transfer window reopens at the beginning of the New Year.

Chelsea were willing to pay £43m for the Mexican over the summer and he may cost much more in the upcoming transfer window.
