Chelsea make summer decision on Denis Zakaria
Chelsea have decided against signing Denis Zakaria on a permanent basis next summer, according to Standard Sport.
The Switzerland international joined the Blues on a season-long loan from Juventus last summer with an option to buy.
It was anticipated that he would play a key role for the club, but that has hardly been the case over the course of the campaign.
Zakaria has managed just 261 minutes of first-team football for the Blues, and he has yet to make his Premier League debut.
It is now reported that the Blues regret their decision to land Zakaria, who has been outlooked by manager Graham Potter.
The London giants don't have the option to terminate his deal in January and have no option but to keep him for the season.
However, they don't plan to exercise the €30 million buy clause regardless of what happens during the back end of the campaign.
Juventus are prepared to sell Zakaria on his return from west London.
