German giants enter race to sign Chelsea target Declan Rice
Bayern Munich have reportedly joined Chelsea in the race to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice next summer.
Rice has spent his entire playing career with the Hammers, but he has been touted to move at the end of the campaign.
He will effectively enter the final two years of his contract next summer, and the Hammers could sell him for around £70m.
Chelsea are obviously favourites to sign him, but Bild claim that they could face fierce competition from Bayern Munich.
Rice is expected to assess his options next summer, but it is quite clear that he would give preference to Champions League football.
That may not be a guarantee with the Blues. They are currently languishing in the eighth spot in the Premier League table.
This could provide an advantage for Bayern in the pursuit of the England star, who is also on the radar of Manchester United.
Rice will reportedly demand £300,000-a-week at his next club.
