Chelsea have chance to sign another Brighton star

Chelsea have been offered the opportunity to sign Brighton & Hove Albion star Leandro Trossard during the winter transfer window.

The Belgian has been one of the stand-out performers in the current Premier League season. He has bagged seven goals and three assists.

His form has caught the eye of several clubs and HLN claim that the Blues are one of the most interested clubs in landing his services.

It is added that the player's entourage have been in contact with the Blues hierarchy to discuss the possibility of a January transfer.

Trossard's current deal with Brighton expires at the end of the campaign, but the Seagulls have the option to keep him until June 2024.

They are expected to trigger the clause in the coming weeks such that the player can't negotiate a pre-contract with a foreign outfit.

Meanwhile, Brighton are yet to set an asking price for the Belgian star, but The Sun recently claimed that he could be available for £30m.
