Man Utd make transfer decision on Cody Gakpo

Cody Gakpo news

Man Utd won't sign Gakpo in January

Manchester United are unlikely to sign PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo during the January transfer window.

The Netherlands international has been in splendid form for PSV this campaign with 13 goals and 17 assists from 24 outings.

United are long-term admirers of him, but ESPN report that they are unlikely to land his services at the start of 2023.

While Gakpo dreams of playing for the Red Devils, the Glazers are reluctant to spend midway through the campaign.

The owners have confirmed that they are looking for a sale and the transfer activity could be limited to loan deals.

It is highly unlikely that PSV will loan out Gakpo in the New Year. They want at least €60m to sanction his exit.

Aside from Gakpo, United are also out of the race to sign Victor Osimhen or Rafael Leao at the beginning of the year.

It has been recently claimed that they could attempt to pursue Christian Pulisic on a temporary deal from Chelsea.
