Man Utd want Enzo Fernandez

Manchester United must pay £103m to sign Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez at the end of the campaign.

The Red Devils were keen on landing the 21-year-old over the summer, but they were beaten to his services by Benfica.

The Argentine has since been in fantastic form. He has bagged five goals and three assists from 21 appearances at club level.

He has also excelled for his national team and recently scored a stunning goal in the 2-0 win over Mexico at the World Cup.

According to Record, United plan to revive their interest in him at the end of the season but they will need to pay a huge fee.

Benfica have no plans of losing their prized asset anytime soon. Any interested club must trigger his £103m release clause.

Aside from United, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keeping tabs on his progress with a view to an approach next summer.

If United want to sign him, Champions League football could be an absolute necessity. Fernandez may reject them otherwise.
