Denzel Dumfries opens the door for Chelsea transfer
Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries has opened the door to join Chelsea during the winter transfer window, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Netherlands international has been regularly linked with the Blues and he recently said that the transfer speculation is a compliment.
It is now reported that the Blues are weighing up an approach for the right wing-back, but it won't be easy to sign him midway through the season.
Inter are open to parting ways with Dumfries to balance their books, but they will only consider his sale if they receive around €60 million.
It remains to be seen whether the west London giants are willing to meet the price tag. The Blues have multiple priorities at the start of the year.
They are eyeing another centre-forward to improve their goalscoring fortunes while a new defensive midfielder could also be pursued next month.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Edson Alvarez could be signed for those positions. Ajax blocked the latter from joining the Blues last summer.
