Arsenal have clear striker stance for January

Gabriel Jesus news

Arsenal won't sign another striker in January

Arsenal have no plans of landing a new striker despite the injury sustained by Gabriel Jesus, according to Football Insider.

The Gunners are currently unsure over the fitness of Jesus and there are suggestions that he could be out for one or three months.

The Brazilian sustained a knee injury on World Cup duty last week, and he will be assessed by the medical team in the coming days.

Regardless of the recovery timescale, it is claimed that the Gunners have no plans of pursuing another striker from the transfer market.

Eddie Nketiah has been Jesus' deputy for the Premier League games this term and he has the perfect opportunity to step up for the club.

The Gunners graduate was sublime in his short stint towards the end of last season and the club will be hoping for more of the same from him.

Gabriel Martinelli is another player that can lead the attack if required. He started off his Gunners career as a regular centre-forward.
