Club chief confirms Arsenal interest in fantastic winger

Mudryk wants to join Arsenal

Shakhtar Donetsk's vice sporting director Carlo Nicolini has confirmed that Arsenal are interested in landing Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Mudryk has been on the Gunners' shortlist since the summer transfer window and he is regarded as a priority for the New Year.

The Gunners have already made contact with his representatives and Nicolini has now revealed that the club are obviously keen.

He said: "Mudryk has received the message, like other players, to show up for Antalya training camp on January 9th. There is interest from Arsenal for him, but we’ve not received official bids."

Mudryk has openly spoken about Mikel Arteta and Arsenal over the past few months and he is desperate to join the club in January.

The main concern, however, could be the asking price. Shakhtar are currently holding out for a staggering fee of €100 million.

That is currently over the odds for the Gunners, who are reluctant to pay more than €50m up front for the 21-year-old.

Mudryk has been in superb form for his club this campaign. He has accumulated 10 goals and eight assists from 18 games.
