Chelsea planning swoop for Inter Milan defender?
Chelsea could reportedly attempt to sign Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar on a Bosman deal next summer.
The Slovakian was touted to join Paris Saint-Germain last summer, but a transfer did not materialise due to differences in the price.
Les Parisiens were prepared to pay €50m for the central defender, but the Nerazzurri were reluctant to sell him for less than €70m.
As a result, they decided to keep him with them, but the decision could be costly as he has no plans of penning a new long-term contract.
Skriniar will enter the last six months of his deal in January and reports claim that Chelsea are prepared to open talks with him over a free transfer.
The Blues have been long-term admirers of the former Sampdoria man and are prepared to make a better contract proposal than Inter.
They are ready to hand the defender with wages of around €12m per year which is far more than the Nerazzurri's proposal of €7m annually.
