Felix set for Man Utd move?

Manchester United have been handed a big boost in signing Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix in the New Year.

The Portuguese's relationship with manager Diego Simeone has deteriorated this season and he is desperate to leave Atletico.

United are one of Felix's main admirers and they have now been handed a boost with Simeone refusing to rule out his departure.

In a recent press conference, Simeone hinted that Felix could head for the exit door soon by insisting that no one is indispensable.

Atletico paid a staggering €130m to land the 23-year-old from Benfica three years ago and they are now looking for around €100m.

That is a huge amount to spend midway through the ongoing campaign and United could instead propose a loan with a buy option.

The Madrid giants obviously need to recoup funds to balance their books in June but they may be reluctant to accept such a proposal.

Atletico may prefer to assess all offers during the winter transfer window before making a final decision on the Portuguese star.
