Man Utd and Arsenal cool interest in Joao Felix?
Manchester United and Arsenal have apparently cooled their interest in Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix due to the transfer demands.
The Portuguese is desperate to leave the Spanish giants at the turn of the year but there are no suitable bids on the table for his services.
Atletico are prepared to let him leave on a dry loan, but their demands are quite hefty. They want a staggering £8m for six months.
On top of this, Diego Simeone's side want his £240,000-a-week wages to be paid in full. Hence, the overall fee could cost £15m.
Paying such an astronomical figure for half a season does not make sense. United and Arsenal have been put off by the same.
The onus is now on Atletico to lower their requirements or else they may have to keep Felix at the club for the rest of the season.
His transfer value has taken a huge hit over the course of the campaign and Atletico may suffer more if Simeone does not play him.
Felix has managed just over 800 minutes of first-team action this term.
