Liverpool are planning a concrete move to sign Manchester United target Jhon Duran in January, according to Raffaele Amato.

The Colombian is currently with Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer where he has enjoyed an impressive debut season.

The 19-year-old has bagged eight goals and six assists from 30 outings for them and it is now claimed that the Reds want him.

Both United and Liverpool have been keeping tabs on the striker, but the latter are now ready to make a concrete approach.

It is added that the Merseyside outfit are ready to pay around €20m to land his services when the transfer window reopens.

It will be interesting to see whether United make a move for him, having already lost Cody Gakpo to the Reds recently.

Gakpo was a key target for the Mancunian giants but Jurgen Klopp's side hijacked the deal with a better financial package.

United are now facing the prospect of losing out of another target.
