French striker wants Manchester United transfer in January

Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram is reportedly keen on joining Manchester United next month.

The Frenchman has had an impressive first half to the season with Monchengladbach, netting 13 goals and four assists.

He is now eyeing a new challenge away from the Bundesliga and it is claimed that United are one of his favoured clubs.

Thuram will enter the last six months of his deal in January and he could be available for a fee of around £10 million.

United are one of the clubs that have been linked with him but they have yet to make any formal approach to sign him.

Aside from the Red Devils, Thuram is keen on joining Barcelona, Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain next year.

If there are no transfer bids this winter, Thuram could decide to see out his contract before securing a free transfer.

Thuram would be a superb signing for any European club as he is capable of playing anywhere in attack.
