Manchester United midfielder wanted by Barcelona?

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has emerged as a potential target for Barcelona next summer.

The Scotland international started the season as a regular for the Red Devils and he was picked ahead of summer signing Casemiro.

However, he lost his place during the month of October and he has since been restricted to minutes off the substitutes' bench.

As a result, there are suggestions that he could leave in the summer and Sport claim that Barcelona are interested in signing him.

The Catalan giants are bracing themselves for the departure of Sergio Busquets when his contract expires at the end of the season.

McTominay has been identified as a suitable replacement and he could be prised away for around £35m in six months' time.

Aside from McTominay, his midfield partner Fred could also head for the exit door at the end of the current league campaign.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in landing his services and are ready to meet United's asking price of around £30m.
