Man Utd in talks for Thuram

Manchester United are reportedly in contact with the agent of Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram.

The Frenchman has had a superb season for the Bundesliga outfit, registering 13 goals and four assists from just 17 games.

His form saw him picked by Didier Deschamps for the World Cup. He did not play much but provided a vital assist in the final.

According to La Repubblica, it is now revealed that the Red Devils are in talks with the striker's agent over a potential winter deal.

Inter Milan are also keen on signing the former Guingamp star, but United are ready to lure him with a lucrative salary package.

Thuram has entered the final six months of his deal with Monchengladbach and the German outfit are open to selling him for €15m.

United are reportedly leading the race to sign him at the moment. They could also land his teammate Yann Sommer this month.

Sommer has been identified as the perfect candidate to provide competition to goalkeeper David de Gea during the second half of the season.
