Chelsea enter race to sign World Cup finalist
Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram in January.
The Blues have been in a dreadful run of form in the Premier League and they are currently languishing 10th in the standings.
They are already 10 points behind fourth-placed Manchester United and things are looking gloomy for the club at the moment.
Amidst this, Foot Mercato claim that the club want to pursue the services of Thuram, who is also on the radar of Arsenal.
The Frenchman has had a fine season with 13 goals and four assists from 17 games for Monchengladbach this campaign.
He was also impressive in his cameo performances for Les Bleus at the World Cup and provided an assist in the final.
Thuram is now likely to leave Monchengladbach this month, considering he has already entered the final six months of his deal.
Chelsea appear in pole position to sign him but they need to be fast in order to avoid a bidding battle with the likes of Arsenal.
