Chelsea confirm signing of Andrey Santos from Flamengo

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Andrey Santos from Flamengo on a long-term deal.

The Blues have endured a difficult season in the Premier League and they are currently 10th in the standings.

Despite this, there has been non-stop spending. They are currently focused on pursuing players for long-term success.

The Blues have already landed David Fofana and Benoit Badiashile this month and Santos becomes the third winter signing.

The 18-year-old midfielder has signed a long-term deal with the London giants, who paid around €12 million for him.

Chelsea are looking into the future with young recruits and the spending spree is due to continue in the coming weeks.

They have their sights on landing Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar but a deal is complicated at the present point of time.

The club are ready to meet the €100m demands of Shakhtar but the player has the desire to play for London rivals Arsenal.

Mudryk has not changed his stance at the moment.
