Ruben Neves set for Newcastle move?

Newcastle are ready to break their club transfer record to sign Ruben Neves from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Toon Army are reportedly preparing an initial bid of £70 million to sign the Portuguese midfielder, and are condident a deal and agreement with the player can be reached before the end of the January transfer window.

Ruben Neves has been a consistent performer for Wolves, helping the club survive Premier League relegation for the last few seasons and has now emerged as a target for Newcastle United. The Saudi Arabian owned club have a budget of £180 million to spend on new players, and the midfielder has emerged as the club's first choice signing for January.

Ruben Neves' former club Porto sold the Mozelos-born star to Wolves  and since moving to his current club in 2017, the 25-year-old has played over 200 games in the Premier League.

The midfielder has played 37 games for his country and is one of Portugal's most important members.
