Chelsea can sign Marcus Thuram for bargain fee

Chelsea have the opportunity to land Marcus Thuram for a bargain fee during the ongoing transfer window.

The west London giants have bolstered their attack this month with Joao Felix and they are now on the verge of landing Mykhaylo Mudryk.

The Ukrainian was a top target for London rivals Arsenal, but Chelsea have hijacked the deal today with a stunning bid of €100 million.

It is now reported that they are also keen on landing another striker and have their sights on pursuing Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Frenchman's contract is due to expire at the end of the season and the Blues could prise him away for a fee of around €9 million.

However, the final decision lies on the striker. It has been reported that Thuram would like to see out the rest of his deal at his club.

He is prepared to move on a free transfer during the summer such that he can benefit from receiving a significant signing-on fee.
