Man Utd set Rashford contract limit

Manchester United are prepared to hand a new long-term deal to Marcus Rashford on their own terms.

The England star has been a tremendous performer for the Red Devils this term. He has already amassed 16 goals in all competitions.

United obviously want to keep him beyond his current deal which expires in June 2024 and talks are expected to be underway very soon.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils are ready to hand Rashford with a 50 per cent pay rise on his current salary of £200,000-a-week.

They won't offer anything more than that. United are planning to cap their wages and are reluctant to break the £300,000-a-week barrier.

Rashford has indicated that he is very happy at the club and it remains to be seen whether he accepts the contract proposal on the table.

If he does not agree to the terms, the club could seriously consider selling him in the summer with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain keen.
