Arsenal boss Arteta shares thoughts on Trossard criticism

Arsenal yesterday sealed the first signing of the January transfer window, bringing in Leandro Trossard from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in a £21 million deal. Having missed out on other targets, the Gunners opted to sign the Belgian, who fell out with his former club's coaching staff after the World Cup in Qatar.
It is understood that Trossard left training early and was left out of a key game for Brighton, which seemed to signal the end of his spell at the club.
Trossard had been linked with several clubs, including Chelsea and Tottenham, but yesterday decided to move to the Emirates.
When asked about Trossard's behaviour at Brighton, manager Arteta said: "We are very confident we are signing the right person and the right player. We know the player, we obviously dig into the experiences and the personality and the relationship he had at other clubs."
It is rumoured that Trossard also fell out with teammate Adam Lallana prior to departing the South Coast side.
