Declan Rice wants to join Arsenal over Chelsea
West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has his sights on joining Arsenal despite the long-term interest from Chelsea.
The Gunners have had a superb Premier League campaign so far and they are currently top of the standings with 50 points.
They don't plan to bring in a marquee midfielder this month, but reports claim that they could step up their pursuit in the summer.
Rice is one of the top targets on their radar and The Guardian report that the midfielder is enticed by the prospect of joining them.
The 24-year-old is excited over the opportunity of working under manager Mikel Arteta while playing Champions League football.
Chelsea are also in the running for their former graduate but they are currently facing a difficult task of making the top four.
Barring them winning the Champions League which seems unlikely, they appear set to miss out on the competition next season.
This could hamper their chances of landing Rice despite the strong interest.
