Fabio Silva swaps Wolves for PSV Eindhoven
PSV Eindhoven have completed a major coup in the January transfer window, signing Wolves' striker Fabio Silva on loan until the end of the season. The Portuguese youth international has struggled since his arrival at Molineux, only scoring four goals in 54 Premier League games since arriving from Porto; Fabio Silva will be hoping to kickstart his career in the Eredivisie.
Fabio Silva has appeared at every youth level for Portugal and has been brought to Eindhoven to replace Cody Gakpo, who departed the Dutch side for Liverpool in a £30 million transfer deal.
Fabio Silva had been on loan at Belgian side Anderlecht, but his deal was terminated after Wolves were able to persuade Anderlecht to cancel the duration of the player's deal. Wolves will receive approximately £200,000 for the duration of Fabio Silva's loan, and it is believed PSV Eindhoven could sign the striker on a permanent basis for a fee of around 20 million euros. Fabio Silva still has three years remaining on his contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
