Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie is reportedly holding out for a move to Arsenal before the transfer deadline.

The USA international is free to leave the Bianconeri this month and Leeds United are already in negotiations over a transfer.

McKennie is open to making the switch to Elland Road, but Calciomercato claim that he is still hopeful of joining the Gunners.

Arsenal are currently on the hunt for a new midfielder after the news that Mohamed Elneny is out for the rest of the campaign.

The Egypt international has suffered a serious knee injury and the Gunners are now determined to bring in a quality replacement.

McKennie is said to be under consideration, but the hierarchy are yet to make any sort of approach to the Bianconeri for him.

It remains to be seen whether the north London giants will enter the race or let McKennie make the move to Leeds this month.

Arsenal face Manchester City in the FA Cup fourth round tomorrow.
