Arsenal to sign Youri Tielemans for free?

Arsenal could sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.

The Belgium international has been on the Gunners radar for the past year but they have not made any formal bids for him.

With his contract expiring in June, journalist Ben Jacobs claims that Arsenal could attempt to sign him on a free transfer.

The north London club have already spoken with the player's agents and it is claimed that personal terms could be a formality.

Aside from the Gunners, Newcastle United are also keen on the Belgian, but it is unclear whether he would be interested in a move.

The Magpies have been a mid-table club over the years, but the situation has completely changed with their Saudi Arabian takeover.

They are now competing for a top-four league finish. If they can stay there until the summer, Tielemans could be convinced to join them.

Tielemans has made it clear that he won't renew with the Foxes.
