Arsenal set sights on signing World Cup finalist
Arsenal are reportedly keen on landing Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram at the end of the season.
The Frenchman has had a fantastic campaign with the Bundesliga club, scoring 13 goals and providing four assists from 23 games.
He will be a free-agent when his contract expires in June and Sport claim that Arsenal are firmly interested in signing him.
The London giants are expected to bolster their attack further this summer ahead of a possible Champions League return.
They have their sights on landing another marksman and Thuram is now a top target, considering the lack of a transfer fee.
Arsenal are, however, not alone in the pursuit of the striker with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea also in the hunt.
Chelsea wanted to land Thuram at the beginning of the year but the 25-year-old was happy to stay put until the end of the season.
Thuram is said to be eyeing close to €100,000-a-week at his next club. He is also expected to demand a significant signing-on fee.
