Haaland to miss Arsenal game?

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland could be doubtful for Wednesday's Premier League clash against Arsenal on the road.

The Cityzens beat Aston Villa by a 3-1 scoreline today and they are now only three points behind Arsenal, having played a game more.

They have the opportunity to go top of the table in midweek but ahead of the trip, they have suffered a potential injury blow.

Haaland was substituted at the halfway stage of the 3-1 win over Villa and in his post-match comments, Pep Guardiola said:

"He had a big knock and was uncomfortable. We didn't want to take risk and we will assess over the next days."

Haaland has been a sensational performer for the Cityzens this term, and he has already netted 31 goals in all competitions.

His scoring form has nosedived since the turn of the year, but he is still a menace for opposition defenders with his presence.

If he is not fit to face the Gunners, Julian Alvarez will lead the line.
