Madrid agree to sign Ballack?
Reports emanating from Spain suggest that Real Madrid have agreed to sign Chelsea's German midfielder Michael Ballack. The player has been unhappy following being left out of Chelsea's 23-man Champions League qualifying squad.
Although the player was left out of the squad through injury, it hasn't stopped various media channels picking up on a potential transfer. According to some, Ballack will be paid £135,000 a week at the Galacticos.
The 30-year-old was linked with a move to Real just before the transfer window closed at the end of August, with Bernd Schuster confirming earlier this week that a deal had been close.
However, the Guardian reports Jose Mourinho will offer Ballack a final chance to resurrect his Chelsea career if the midfielder responds well to being left out of the clubs Euro squad.
