Man Utd handed double injury boost for Liverpool game
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has confirmed a double injury boost for the Premier League trip to Liverpool.
The Red Devils face the Merseyside giants on the road on Sunday and ahead of the game, Ten Hag has provided positive team news.
Luke Shaw was absent for the 3-1 win over West Ham United in the FA Cup with a minor niggle but he is expected to return to the squad.
Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho could also make his comeback for the Red Devils, provided he has completely recovered from his illness.
United are currently 11 points behind table-toppers Arsenal, who have played a game more. The gap could extend to 14 points by Sunday.
The Red Devils still have an outside chance of winning the league, but they must beat Liverpool on the road to keep their slim hopes alive.
United have not beaten the Reds at Anfield since January 2016. On current form, they should fancy their prospects of ending the streak.
