Man Utd ready to hand new contract to Erik ten Hag
Manchester United are ready to hand a new contract to manager Erik ten Hag amid the club's impressive progress this season.
The Dutchman was appointed as United's head coach last summer and he has since brought a winning mentality into the club.
They recently won the Carabao Cup against Newcastle and The Mirror claim that Ten Hag will be rewarded for his efforts.
The club are currently discussing a possible takeover with Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliff among the main candidates.
They are expected to submit fresh bids to the Glazers in the next 10 days and there could be a new owner by the beginning of April.
Irrespective of this, the club plan to focus on contract renewals and Ten Hag could sign a new long-term deal during the international break.
The Red Devils are also prioritising contract extensions for Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot whose deals expire in the summer of 2024.
United will be hosting Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-final tomorrow.
