Chelsea re-open talks with Juventus for Denis Zakaria
Chelsea have re-opened talks with Juventus over a permanent deal for Denis Zakaria this summer.
The Switzerland international signed for the Blues on loan last summer with an option to buy for €30m.
He has since struggled for regular playing time, but the Blues are still open to the prospect of keeping him.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the club have restarted talks with Juventus to lower the final transfer fee.
Zakaria has barely played for the Blues since his injury this year and they want a discount from Juventus.
The Bianconeri are likely to negotiate with the London giants, considering they are in a tight financial situation.
The club were recently docked 15 points for financial fraud and they are currently seven points behind the top four.
Even if they make the Champions League, the board are likely to offload fringe players to balance their books.
Aside from Zakaria, the Bianconeri could part ways with Arthur after his injury-plagued loan spell at Liverpool.
