Chelsea join Man Utd in race to sign Goncalo Ramos
Chelsea have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos this summer.
The Portuguese has been a revelation for Benfica this term. He has bagged 24 goals and 10 assists from 36 games.
Ramos is widely expected to move on in the summer and Record cite that there are many clubs interested in him.
United have been following him for some time but it is reported that Chelsea and Real Madrid are also in the mix.
The European giants have sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old in action and there has been a positive feedback.
Benfica are currently reluctant to lose Ramos for less than his €120m release clause but this is unlikely to put off clubs.
The Portuguese outfit have been willing to accept long-term payment plans in the past and could be open to the same.
This would suit the likes of United and Chelsea, who are walking a tight rope when it comes to Financial Fair Play.
